WEB Rangers Close Gap on Celtic
Rangers Win, Cut Celtic's Lead to Three Points
Kilmarnock's Red Card Helps Rangers Secure Victory
WEB Rangers have closed the gap on league leaders Celtic to just three points following a hard-fought 2-1 victory over 10-man Kilmarnock at Dens Park.
Celtic's lead had stretched to five points after their Old Firm derby win over Rangers last weekend, but Michael Beale's side responded with a crucial win to keep their title hopes alive.
Kilmarnock took an early lead through Kyle Vassell, but Rangers drew level just before half-time thanks to James Tavernier's penalty. The visitors were then handed a huge boost when Liam Donnelly was sent off for a second bookable offense in the 65th minute.
Rangers took full advantage of their numerical superiority, with Antonio Colak scoring the winning goal in the 83rd minute. The victory leaves Rangers in second place on 85 points, three behind Celtic with just three games remaining.
